In 1975, 28, 338 Fiat 500 Rs were produced, including the example we're offering, which was registered in Turin on 14 May 1975, one of the final 16, 182 that would still be built by 31 July 1975. In autumn 1976 it relocated to Brescia with a corresponding change of registration.
In 1998, on the occasion of an engine rebuild, the last owner requested an upgrade to the car, which was entrusted to the capable hands of local tuner Roberto Abeni, who, using spare parts supplied by the Gozzoli workshop in Maranello, increased the displacement to 802. 30 cc. In the attached list of spare parts and work carried out, we highlight: lightened flywheel with A112 clutch, connecting rods sourced from a 127 Sport, BMC direct intake air filter, twin-spark ignition (wasted spark), electric fuel pump with inertial switch, five-speed gearbox, A112 front disc brakes and rear drum brakes with aeronautical brake lines, lowered front and rear anti-roll bars with uprated dampers, enlarged aluminium cylinder head cover and sump with reinforced sump plug, Millemiglia alloy wheels. Inside we find robust seats with tall headrests, a sports steering wheel and Giannini instrument cluster. The car received its C. S. A. I. historic vehicle certification in 2004, is roadworthy and has a valid periodic inspection until the end of June 2027. It comes with its car cover and still retains the original Fiat service booklet and warranty. A charming bespoke creation for the enthusiast of tuned 500s!
