Build & History
I’ve owned this Westfield for over 10 years, thoroughly enjoyed my time but I fancy a change.
• Correctly registered on the V5 as a 1989, but completely rebuilt in 2004 using a new starter kit. The rebuild included a brand-new factory chassis and bodywork directly from Westfield (The chassis was exchanged and has the correct Vin plate, receipts included for proof). The car is HPI clear I have a fresh cert for the new owner. The wiring is really neat—no "rat's nests" under the dash—and everything logically laid out. With the top parts used is why I bought it.
• Mileage is 31k but on the new chassis apx 16k
• In my opinion its in great overall condition for a car of this age.
• Big box file full of receipts, build manual, brochures, technical drawings and a very handy document of knowing that tells you all you need to know when maintaining it.
Engine & Performance
• Engine: I replaced the previous 2. 0 Silvertop with a Raceline Zetec R engine (fitted in 2022). Installed with fresh Victor Reinz gaskets spark plugs , and a new cambelt during the swap. I change the oil every year, which I have just done for the new owner and fresh brake fluid
• Power: Dyno-mapped to 204 BHP (360 BHP/ tonne).
Happy to tick along at 50mph — and it feels fast — but when you decide to push on, things get properly bonkers.
At home on the back roads or on track.
Buttons to insure, cheap to run, and easy to work on and if anything ever needs replacing it’s all Ford bits.
