1980 Montesa Cota 349 Ulf Karlson Replica. This bike was road registered in 1983 with V5 in my name. The bike is in very good condition for its age although there are areas on tank showing slight crazing and a small chip. ( see photos) The bike starts and runs nicely with 1st and 2nd gear working fine but for some reason the remaining gears work correctly once the engine is warmed up. I have never investigated this but im sure someone with experience with Montesa's could fix this. Apart from this the bike is a lovely example as you can see from the photos. As far as i know everything is origional. Please note that the registration number does not come with the bike but will have a replacement prior to sale.
I bought this bike 6 years ago as ive always loved Montesa Cotas since i was 12 years old. This particular bike seem to stand out with its red and grey colouring and being an Ulf Karlsson replica it looked stunning. I just think the styling of the 349 is iconic. I would say that this particular bike has never been used as it was intended due to the condition. Matching engine and frame numbers as you would expect on an origional bike.
