We bought this Early Bay because we wanted a classic camper that could be enjoyed straight away rather than spending years restoring one. It's got the character and iconic looks of an early VW, but with some thoughtful upgrades that make it far easier to use and enjoy in modern traffic, including power steering, an alternator conversion, and a Propex heater.
The simple interior provides a full-size bed and plenty of space, which worked brilliantly for our family camping trips. We originally planned to redesign the interior, but found ourselves enjoying it exactly as it was.
Our favourite thing about the van is that it always attracts smiles and conversations wherever it goes. It's a genuine classic that can still be driven, camped in and enjoyed without needing major work.
