Description
Offered for sale is a classic 1936 Harley-Davidson with sidecar. A rare pre-war motorcycle with fantastic character and history.
In good overall cosmetic condition (not a concours/ museum restoration). Repainted a few decades ago, so it is not 100% factory original.
Officially inspected and registered as an historic vehicle (Museoajoneuvo) in Finland.
The engine does start and run, but takes some effort to start and will require some mechanical service/ tuning before it is road-ready. There is a video of a cold start that I can share when needed (last time it run was around 10 years ago).
Sidecar included with the bike. The sidecar can probably not be used as-is. There is some rust damage in the front (visible in pictures), making it a great candidate for restoration.
A great opportunity to acquire a desirable pre-war Harley-Davidson restoration/ service project with solid basics.
Located in Finland. Transport and shipping assistance can be arranged upon agreement.
What makes this 1936 Harley-Davidson so special is its unmistakable presence and rich pre-war history. It is a genuine piece of early motorcycle heritage—a rare machine that instantly turns heads, invites questions, and stands out in any classic bike collection.
The standout feature is its authentic vintage look combined with the official historic vehicle status in Finland. Having the matching sidecar included provides a fantastic project opportunity to bring a complete, iconic pre-war combination back to its full potential. It is a rare piece of American iron with incredible soul and character, ready for a caretaker who appreciates true classics.
