1986 Chevrolet K10 4x4 short-bed pickup, powered by a 5. 7-litre (350ci) Chevrolet small-block V8 with a 4-speed manual gearbox.
UK registered since 2018 and in our family since 2020.
The truck has just passed a fresh MOT on 1 October 2026 with no advisories.
This is an honest, usable American square-body pickup rather than a freshly restored show truck. During our ownership it has been maintained and enjoyed, and we have not made any major modifications to it.
The VIN confirms it as a genuine K-series 4-wheel-drive pickup, rather than a converted 2WD C10. It is currently fitted with a 5. 7-litre/ 350ci Chevrolet V8. The VIN indicates that it originally left the factory with a 5. 0-litre V8, so the current 5. 7-litre engine was fitted at some point earlier in its life.
The combination of V8, 4-speed manual gearbox, four-wheel drive and short-bed body makes it a particularly characterful truck to drive.
Finished in metallic grey/ blue, it currently sits on 22-inch chrome wheels with chunky tyres, together with chrome bumpers, chrome grille and side steps.
The sale also includes four 15-inch original-style steel wheels without tyres, giving the next owner the option of returning it to a more traditional-looking wheel setup.
Inside is a black vinyl bench seat which presents well for its age, a MOMO quick-release steering wheel, auxiliary instrumentation and a sliding rear cab window. The original steering wheel is also included with the truck.
The body presents well as an honest 40-year-old American pickup. It has age-related marks, patina and some localised corrosion around areas including the wheel arches, and I am not trying to represent it as a concours or freshly restored vehicle.
The chassis and underside are in good condition for the age of the vehicle, and the fresh MOT with no advisories provides additional reassurance.
There is also some interesting surviving evidence of its American history. An original service sticker remains on the truck from Pit Stop Oil Change in Palm Bay, Florida, recording 102, 187 miles in September 2017, shortly before the truck was subsequently imported to the UK.
The instrument cluster/ odometer was changed before my ownership, so the mileage currently displayed is not an accurate record of the vehicle's total mileage. I am therefore selling the truck with the mileage unwarranted rather than making an unsupported claim about its current total mileage.
It was imported and UK registered in 2018 and has remained in our family since 2020.
The sale includes the four 15-inch original-style steel wheels, original steering wheel and a box of assorted spares.
This is a very usable, great-looking V8 square-body Chevrolet with plenty of character. It can be enjoyed as it stands while still offering plenty of scope for somebody who wants to improve or personalise it further.
