Description
1995 Ducati Superlight IV (number 575).
Bike has been totally restored. Date of registration 6/ 9/ 95.
I like to restore classic Ducs and have a reasonable collection. I did this one to keep but circumstances have changed and I’m having to start to thin out my collection. So, it is with a heavy heart that this is for sale….
Where to start….
Complete engine rebuild (documented / full photographic evidence). This was a professional engine rebuild by Alf @ Alfs Motorcycles Worthing. Bores, pistons, crankshaft etc measured. Re-shim crankshaft and gearbox due to no crankcase gasket available (sealant use only). Valves lapped in. Re-shimmed heads. Used plastigauge to assure correct oil clearance on big end assembly (Con rods). Engine cases aqua blasted, engine covers & barrels satin black cerakoted. New head studs. Replaced piston rings, all internal bearings renewed. New belts and tensioners. New clutch basket. Carbs stripped, cleaned and set back to factory settings. New throttle cables. Engine has only covered a few hundred miles since rebuild.
Exhausts are carbon Sil Moto with polished header pipes.
Wheels repainted to original colour with new bearings.
Frame painted in original colour together with headlight / fairing support
NOS headlight.
NOS front forks (as supplied original – perfect condition).
NOS front brake discs (Brembo cast iron fully floating).

New front & rear sprockets and DID Gold drive chain.
Rear shock stripped & painted.
Carbon front mudguard – rear carbon hugger.
All bodywork and decals painted to original specification – fitted with Powerbronze light tint screen. All new fixings (fairing bolts, washers, rubber well nuts).
New front indicators.
All clocks refurbished with NOS foam surround.
NOS mirrors – original Vitaloni baby turbo.
All wiring overhauled – connections cleaned and checked. New battery.
Actual mileage shown on speedo is 23, 276 but it has done less than the 500 miles I've stated after its restoration has been completed. The bike is essentially as new.
Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves. In all honesty, I don’t think you’ll find a better Superlight…
I bought this bike about 5 years and took it through a complete ground up restoration - it owes me in parts alone over £10K (£5K of which is an engine rebuild).
