Triumph T100R Daytona
Original UK supplied bike registered 24/ 05/ 1972 – 8 former keepers
I bought this bike last year as a recommissioning project to do over winter. I have since ridden it through the summer and it is now time to move it on to a new custodian.
There’s no real history with the bike, but I was told that the engine has been rebuilt. No paperwork to prove this, but the engine runs well, doesn’t leak and gaskets look good. It has been fitted with a single Premier 930 Amal carb and electronic ignition. The original twin carb set up with filters are included, along with a factory workshop manual and parts book.
The odometer appears to have been reset at some point and currently reads 1, 458 miles, so the true mileage is unknown. This will probably increase as I intend to get out for some fair-weather rides while it is still with me.
It runs, rides and stops well with the twin leading shoe front brake. Tank is clean inside and I have only run it on Super unleaded fuel.
Cosmetically, it’s a 54 year old bike, not a restored example. If I were to keep the bike, I would replace the rims and spokes. The tyres are around nine years old but are currently in good condition. The tank and mudguards would also benefit from repainting if the aim were to take the bike to a higher cosmetic standard. As it stands, however, it makes for a lovely machine to ride and I have really enjoyed using it over the summer.
Any questions, please ask. A video of the bike running is available — I can provide this to interested buyers.
