I have recently had it fully mechanically recommissioned including Timing Belt kit, water pump, thermostat, alternator and power steering belts, all fluids flushed and replaced (engine oil twice, gearbox, antifreeze/ coolant, power steering and brake fluid), spark plugs, all filters, brake discs and pads all round.
The electric mirrors, windows, and tilt and slide sunroof all work. All the centre console dials and dash clocks work. The Sony tape cassette head unit comes with plastic holder and instruction booklet. Other than the ashtray showing signs of heat, the interior is in excellent condition. Includes original Audi mats and pedals that show little to no signs of wear. There are no tears or holes in the seats, with virtually no creases in the bolsters due to smaller person driving.
There are minor scratches in the bodywork, none of which are to bare metal. Worst of which are on the passenger door external mirror. There is a small shallow dent just above the passenger door handle too.
The underside is remarkable. Suspension bushes have none of the usual perished edges, with arms having original paint still on them.
I had planned to keep the car and fully restore bodywork to take to shows, but circumstances have changed with work, so am reluctantly considering this sale.
The engine runs beautifully within a single turn of the key.
The car has 3 original keys (central locking, ignition and valet).
