2001 996 Carrera 2 manual, seven previous owners.
Great overall condition, the car starts, stops, steers and runs really well. It has a very comprehensive service history, with the last service done in August by the highly regarded Porsche specialist RD Automotive ( they also fitted a new steering lock at the same time)The current MOT runs until Jan 2027, with no advisories.
This car has been well maintained over the years with lots of money being spent, the last owner had a number of upgrades fitted including heated seats, cruise control and Autosmart silver seal paint protection. The spec is further enhanced with a Dansk sports exhaust, GT3 alloys, air conditioning, electric sunroof and Carplay. There is also evidence that the IMS bearing and seal were replaced in 2016 The paintwork is in very good condition with only some very slight bubbling on the near side rear arch. It was noted at the last service that the radiator fan is a little noisy but that it is functioning as it should. It has two keys along with the grey blade.
I bought the car in December last year, I was keen to try a 996 having previously owned a couple of early air cooled 911’s. Aside from the spec and maintenance history, the thing that really appealed was the appearance of the car, it has been retro fitted with a 10mm lowering of the suspension, the Seal grey paint with the black leather really show off the lines of the car.
