Externally, this example is in good overall condition. It presents the most classic colour combo: full black. It is fitted with 5-spoke 18-inch wheels, 2002 model. The sunroof is functional and watertight. Also noted are the bi-xenon headlights with headlight washers.
Inside, black is de rigueur and the upholstery benefits from the extended leather option. The whole is in very good condition, including the dashboard and seats which show little wear. Air conditioning is part of the original equipment, the seats are semi-electric and heated, and there is also PCM 1. The three-spoke sport steering wheel carries the gearshift controls.
Mechanically, the service book shows very regular maintenance, including a bottom-end overhaul at 140, 000 km, so despite its mileage the car runs perfectly. It’s a true GT combining comfort and performance. The 320 hp are indeed present, well matched by the pleasant five-speed Tiptronic gearbox completed by the cruise control. The flat-six voices its presence without being intrusive thanks to its slightly freer exhaust. PSM is among the options and ensures impeccable handling.
So here is a fine example of a 996 Phase 2. Well optioned, it’s the gateway into the world of the 911…
