Description
Selling my 1982 Mercedes 200T S123 – 119k Miles. Registered as Historic Vehicle. Factory finished in Hansablau with blue cloth/ M-Tex interior.
The car has been restored by a previous owner who owned the car for 3 years, undertaking a full strip back to shell, welding every area of corrosion to the underside & bulkhead and re-finishing the interior & exterior. There is no hidden rust to the car, with the only area a small patch of surface corrosion appearing to the bonnet edge above the headlight. I have photos from the restoration I am heppy to share.
Rear suspension overhauled with new expansion spheres, all fluids flushed and changed, work undertaken to tune the carburettor & replace belts in the last month.
I have been using the car as my daily-driver without issue since purchase in May, it runs fantastically well. All important functions work - some need to be looked at, like the central locking, rear wiper & internal switches.
The sunroof is watertight but not currently functioning and has been sealed with Sika 155, all parts are in place & can be reversed. The paintwork is cosmetically not the best, but is very solid & fully undersealed with epoxy primer. I have all history from my ownership but not much from prior.
I purchased the car with the intention of finishing it off to bring the car upto standard, but other commitments & a lack of time mean I need to regrettably sell.
I have a full collection of spares with internal & external parts that is probably worth £1k alone, that I would be happy to include as part of a sale.
