Description
1975 Buick LeSabre. Fully rebuilt inside and out prior to import to the UK in 2020.
Original Buick 350 V8 with full OEM parts throughout. Includes original build sheet from GM assembled in Kansas for the Canadian Market.
Currently listing as have not been able to fully enjoy driving this year past couple years with work commitments and would love to see it go to a good home.
Full runner. Rebuilt transmission in 2020 shifts smoothly with no lag throughout the RPM range through a large rear differential, standard for these long comfortable late 1970s cruisers (2. 41:1). Original non-working AC Delco radio has been replaced with a fully modernized retrosounds headunit and hertz speakers throughout. This includes a fully customized fiberglass subwoofer enclosure that is easily removable if increased trunk space is the priority.
Includes a full Rochester carb kit for future servicing.
Issues. Mechanically sound, there are a few minor paint imperfections to note including, small rear panel chips from gravel roads, 50p sized rust spot on the front right wheel well, and a small unusual imperfection on the hood. Tires are also in need of replacement which pending interest can either be replaced or factored into any future negotiations.
This car was a full passion project to bring back to life a family vehicle I grew up with as a child back in Canada. A project that worked on over a 12 month period with my father who is also a big old car fan. Unusual for the UK this car is a real head turner. The orange metallic paint in the summer sun looks stunning on the highway and always brings a smile to my face cruising through the country side in one of the most comfortable cars I have ever sat in.
6 years on from import, there are a few superficial areas of tiredness that are easy to bring back to life for any future owner. Just want to see it fully used and loved as recent and likely recurring work commitments outside the UK do not make it feasible for me to maximize for the next few years as I look to invest in the raw materials for a future project.
Enjoy.
