Just been serviced with new MOT for peace of mind - no advisories whatsoever.
As far I was given to understand there were only ever 2 Italian owners. It was first registered in 1971 to a gentlemen in Genoa. It was then transferred to the 2nd owner on 27th January 1975 in Rome, who owned the car for approx 40 years. In 2014 he decided to have the car fully restored. A Fiat 126 650 cc engine and gearbox was fitted along with a sports exhaust. Other work included larger drums from a Fiat 500 Giardiniera F (Station Wagon), Giardiniera Alloy Wheels, Fiat 126 front seats and sports steering wheel were fitted and recovered to match the recovered original 500 rear seats. The car which was originally yellow was then resprayed red. The speedo was then re-set to zero.
Sadly, the 2nd owner passed away shortly after, having covered just 2, 008 kms since its restoration. His daughter who inherited the car never drove it, but kept it 'Laid up' under a tarpaulin in her garage for 11 years until it was finally bought by Mattei Classics and exported to the UK in 2025. It was then registered with the DVLA and its 1st V5 was issued on 1st June 2025. The car was then recommissioned, serviced and Mot'd by Mattei Classics before I purchased it on 28 Oct 2025 with 2, 132 kms on the clock. Apart from Mattei Classics, I am only its 3rd owner and I am only selling the car now to help finance the purchase of a new motorhome. The car currently reads only 2, 470 kms. It's a super little classic that's clearly been cherished all its life. I have just carried out an oil service and centrifugal oil filter clean. Although it's MOT exempt It also comes with a brand new 12 month MOT - with no advisories, ready for it's new owner to enjoy.
