Welcome to the sale of my 1988 Volvo 740 GL Estate . 2. 0L Petrol, Automatic. Car currently has no MOT and requires welding to pass.
I've only owned the car 12 months but have decided to sell as I don't have to time to complete the work and also need the funds for work on my other cars.
It has only had 2 other owners before me, has a full file of mostly Volvo service history including the original bill of sale and overall is in good condition.
Since owning the car I have done quite a few jobs which include:
New back plates, pads and discs all round.
New inner track rods and track rod ends
New Front NS Caliper
New solid brake line to Front OS
Oil change and filter
New air filter
New fuel filter
New spark plug
X4 brand new KHUMO tyres
I have also treated some rust on the rear door seals by grinding it back and coating in anti rust primer.
The bad bits:
* Sagging headliner (pictured)
* Some damaged plastic trim inside (pictured)
* Requires some small patches of welding for MOT (pictured) and further welding (cosmetic)
* Windscreen has a crack on the bottom corner which does show on the MOT as an advisory.(Pictured)
* Paint work has general scratches/ scuffs for the age of the car.
* Wheel trims aren't in amazing condition, badly painted.
* Odometer not working, when I purchased the car it was around 132, 000 however the odometer stopped working, I tried to replace the cog that brakes however damaged the needle. I decided to replace it with a second hand dial that had a working odometer however this broke after 20 miles or so.
