Description
1996 BMW E36 323i M Sport Saloon – Arctic Silver – 30, 440 Miles
£17, 995 | Genuine Factory M Sport | 2 Owners From New | Extensive History
Offered for sale is my exceptionally well-preserved 1996 BMW E36 323i M Sport Saloon, finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (309).
This is a genuine factory M Sport, not an SE conversion. Built on 11th June 1996, it features the original M Sport styling package, sports seats, M Sport suspension and steering wheel.
Originally supplied in Japan, the car has had just two owners from new – its original Japanese owner and myself, the first and only UK owner.
I purchased it in September 2021 with just 26, 702 miles recorded. Five years later, it has covered approximately 30, 440 miles – fewer than 4, 000 miles during my ownership.

Powered by BMW’s silky-smooth 2. 5-litre M52 straight-six engine, paired with an automatic gearbox.
Exceptional Interior Condition
The interior is one of the car’s standout features and genuinely reflects its remarkably low mileage.
The original wood trim is in impeccable condition and has been protected with PPF to preserve its finish.
The sports seat bolsters show no noticeable wear, while the rear seats look virtually unused.
Even the onboard computer (OBC) retains a fully functioning display with no missing or dead pixels, something increasingly uncommon on E36s.
The cabin presents beautifully and needs to be seen to appreciate its preservation.
Wheels & Exterior
Currently fitted with genuine BMW BBS RC041 alloy wheels, wearing Bridgestone tyres manufactured in late 2025, complemented by brand-new genuine BMW centre badges.
These provide a subtle, period-correct OEM+ appearance that complements the Arctic Silver paintwork beautifully.
Numerous genuine BMW exterior trims, seals, clips and fittings have been replaced throughout my ownership to preserve the car’s appearance.
Extensive Mechanical Maintenance
Despite its exceptionally low mileage, I’ve undertaken extensive preventative maintenance because components deteriorate with age, regardless of mileage.
