Category C recorded in 2014
I don't know the circumstances surrounding the Category C marker or what damage was involved, so I won't speculate. The bike does come with a letter relating to an inspection carried out in 2024, which will be supplied to the new owner.
It is an older motorcycle and should naturally be viewed as such rather than expected to be showroom perfect. I've priced it realistically at £1, 495, taking the recorded history into account.
I'm also open to an interesting BMW motorcycle project as a swap or part exchange, particularly a K75, K100, K1100 or older Boxer. Non-runners, barn finds and unfinished projects are all of interest.
I have my own motorcycle trailer, so delivery of the FireStorm and/ or collection of a part-exchange motorcycle may be possible, depending on distance, for an additional cost by negotiation.
Located in Belper, Derbyshire.

The FireStorm represents a brilliant period of Honda motorcycle design. The formula was refreshingly simple: put a big 996cc V-twin into a sporting chassis and create a fast road bike with huge character, torque and that unmistakable V-twin soundtrack.
More than 25 years after the FireStorm first appeared, it has all the ingredients that make early analogue sports bikes increasingly interesting as modern classics: big carburettors, minimal electronics, distinctive styling and an engine that dominates the whole experience.
There's also an unusual story behind why I own this particular one.
I had an old BMW K100 which could easily have ended up being broken for parts. I really wanted the complete motorcycle to go to someone who would appreciate it. Someone approached me who genuinely wanted the K100 and offered this FireStorm as part of the deal.
I never actually intended to buy or keep a FireStorm. I did the deal because it meant the K100 went to the right home.
The K100 and the story behind it can be seen on my YouTube channel, “The Retirement Garage.”
Now I'd like to do much the same with the FireStorm and find someone who appreciates what these big V-twin Hondas are becoming.
For me, the appeal is its simplicity and character. This comes from an era before sports motorcycles became dominated by sophisticated electronics. It's mechanical, distinctive and unmistakably an early-2000s Honda.
With just 18, 000 miles, I think it deserves to go to an enthusiast who will enjoy and preserve it.
£1, 495, or possibly an interesting old BMW project in exchange.
