Description
Here for sale is my totally original 2001 Volkswagen Polo 1. 4 Match. A great first car for someone looking to get something interesting, but also affordable to run and insure. The MPG is approx 45mpg, so very good. It would also be a great addition to any VW collection as it is low mileage / low owners for its age especially, backed up with impressive condition.

Exterior:
The exterior presents in amazing condition, with the paintwork in fantastic condition for its age. In my ownership, the car has always been garaged and cleaned every week after use. The headlights are in immaculate condition too. Also, rare for one of these, it has optional alloy wheels. Most 6N2 Polos have hubcaps and I feel the alloys really set the car apart from others.
Interior:
Quite possibly, the most impeccable part of the car, is the interior. There's not many words to describe it, apart from near mint condition. Featuring a working cup holder, working A/ C and heater, heated rear window, bluetooth stereo, uprated speakers, cigarette lighter, electrically adjustable mirrors and windows, plus more!
The back seats have barely been sat in, as well as the front, which have no wear and tear on the bolsters. How rare is that! The car also had a new headlining fitted in 2026 and presents very well. Also equipped is, the original spare wheel, toolkit and warning triangle.
Underside:
Last week, I gave the car a full underside clean, including all four arches. The car is so original, with no signs of previous welding / accident damage. You can see how clean it is and how well looked after it is, over the 25 years. You will genuinely be hard pressed to find another in this condition for under £2500. I have added photos of the underside, which clearly show the condition of the rear beam, sills and arches.
Mechanicals:
To mention first, the engine bay is in superb condition with all original paint on chassis rails and firewall. Feel free to come check it out. All the original stickers are still in place too.
The car runs beautifully with no issues at all. The five speed gearbox is silky smooth and does not feel 25 years old at all! You may notice a few advisories from the last MOT. All the brake related advisories have been sorted with all new discs, pads and drums. Due to the fact, that the car doesn't do that many miles and the current condition of the dampers, they aren't needing any due attention at the moment.
The MOT is due on 15th February 2027. A new MOT can be put on the car at the buyers cost, however I don't see any reason why it will not fly through again as you will see on the test drive, its in very good order.
Viewings are more than welcome. Test drives are welcome, but only if you have proof for insurance on the car. If not, I will happily take you out in it. Delivery can be arranged in a closed or open trailer at buyers cost. Please note that between Friday 13th November and Sunday 29th November, I will not be able to take any viewings as I am away then. Payment by bank transfer only and as it is a 25 year old car, there is no warranty included. It is simply sold as seen.
