For sale is my 2006 BMW 550i M Sport, finished in metallic grey with black leather upholstery and walnut wood trim. With just 39, 500 miles from new, this is an exceptionally low-mileage and well-preserved example of BMW’s V8-powered E60 5 Series.
The naturally aspirated 4. 8-litre V8 is a real highlight of the car, offering effortless performance, smooth power delivery and excellent refinement. It is a particularly accomplished motorway car, covering long distances in exceptional comfort while proving surprisingly economical for its engine size. 30+ mpg is very achievable on motorway runs.
The car is completely standard and unmodified, retaining its original M Sport specification.
Condition:
The car presents in excellent condition for its age, both inside and out.
The metallic grey bodywork looks very smart, with only minor age-related marks and stone chips. Inside, the black leather and walnut trim provide a comfortable and understated cabin. There is some minor wear to the soft-touch interior finishes, although the car does not suffer from the sticky buttons often associated with BMWs of this generation.
Based on the Car Vertical report I ran prior to purchasing, the car was assessed for repair to the rear of £751-£1000 in 2020. This appears to be a minor bump and images of what I assume is the repair have been included in this listing. The car has never been categorised.
Mechanically, the car drives exactly as it should, with no known issues.
Service History and Recent Maintenance:
The car comes with good documented service history, including its original BMW book pack, stamped service book and supporting invoices.
It has recently undergone a thorough inspection by independent BMW specialist JWS, receiving a clean bill of health. All recommended work has been completed, including:
