Description
I am offering a beautiful, restored Mk1 Mini estate, which is in excellent technical and cosmetic condition.
The car was sold new in 1964 but was taken off the road quite early, in 1972. It spent 33 years in a garage in London before being rescued by its second owner (the current seller). In 2005, the car arrived in Hungary—under its own power—where it underwent a comprehensive and thorough restoration by Camelot Restorations. Great care was taken to preserve as many original parts as possible (98% or more). The entire interior, the wiring harness, the engine, and even the wooden frame are original; they were refurbished rather than replaced. The vehicle has successfully passed FIVA inspection. It was taken off the road again in 2009 but has been kept in perfectly dry storage ever since. In the autumn of 2024, it was brought back to life: the brakes were serviced, the cylinder head was overhauled, and all fluids and filters were replaced. This is a unique opportunity to own an authentic "Woody" in "like-new, yet original" condition.
A complete photographic record of the 2005/ 2006 restoration is available and can be provided upon request. Transport to UK possible any time, original english registration document (V5) is available!
