Mercedes 280 SL 1983 registered with just 2 former keepers in amazing condition. This car is an origanal example that has never been restored and is totally beautiful throughout. Finished in gleaming unmarked red which has been fully machine polished bringing back the lustre to the factory paint. The panel work is arrow straight and mark free as is all the chromework. The interior is absolutely as new and has a lovely feel to it with the walnut dash and facias along with the fully working origanal factory Blaupunkt stereo. The wheels have been fully refurbished at some point and again unmarked with excellent tyres. Mechanically again everything is perfect , power steering, smooth recently serviced auto gearbox, beautifull engine which runs and drives without fault. I also have a factory hardtop with the car along with the cloth hood. The car is currently mot tested until August 27 but does qualify for historic status. Just 2 former keepers and lots of service history dating back from dealers to present day including Dick Lovett Mercedes, Benz Autos, Mercedes Benz North Wales and more with some recent works radiator recore 2020, condensor 2025, master cylinder 2024, brake hoses 2024, new discs and pads 2024 , transmission service (merc. specialists) 2026 and so much more. The car is an absolute credit to its previous keepers maintaning such a high standard mechanical and general condition of the vehicle. There are 2 keys with the car along with all documentation, history file, origanal service book and receipts and a full HPI clear certificate. I purchased this car early this year to replace my Morgan 4/ 4 out of my own collection but miss the low down real drive feel the morgan gave me so I would be intersted in a PX with a 4/ 4 again. Viewing is highly reccomended to fully appreciate just how good this car really is and I wouldnt think many cars of this condition come to the market often. I understand that the classic car market has had a down turn with values this year but a car of this condition I would think would be unaffected but even so I have priced the car bearing this in mind.
