The car is in original factory M Sport Package II specification and in Individual Carbon Schwarz Metallic paint. A collector's piece for its condition, equipment and documented history. Powered by the iconic 3. 0-litre M54 straight-six, it offers a smooth power delivery, an unmistakable sound and the pure driving pleasure of BMW rear-wheel drive with a manual gearbox, all completed by the experience of open-top motoring.
The car has covered 179, 000 km and is in truly impeccable condition, both in bodywork and mechanically, kept with obsessive care by a true enthusiast and always stored in a garage. The interior is perfectly preserved and every component and button works correctly. The fabric roof works perfectly with no water ingress, in its deep black colour without tears and with perfect stitching. The car is registered with ASI and has a CRS certificate in the logbook, so it is exempt from road tax and insurable at low cost.
I am delivering it to the new owner with the original hard top in body colour, wind deflector and wind deflector bag, three keys, handbooks and accessory catalogues, and of course all the service history documentation. All the original M Sport mouldings are included and supplied with the car, replaced with the burr wood trim, which are also in perfect condition. The car still retains the original windscreen stickers and all the original glass. The underbody is completely free of rust.
The rubber seals are in as-new condition, as the car has always been kept in a garage. Its origin in a cold country has preserved the seals over the years, which are indeed pristine.
I occasionally note a slight noise over speed bumps at the front, which can be resolved by replacing the bump stops and the front wishbone silent blocks. The work can be seen in the underbody video (on request).
Mechanically it is in exceptional health: the service history shows a total absence of serious faults, overheating problems or extraordinary engine work, confirming the car's great reliability and the care with which it has been driven.
Braking system with Zimmermann drilled discs and recently replaced pads (at 167, 000 km), as well as brake fluid (at 170, 000 km), the starter motor, the tappet cover and the auxiliary drive belt. Complete professional detailing carried out in 2024 on the bodywork, leather interior and hood (invoice available). Nano-ceramic protection applied to the entire bodywork and hood for maximum protection against dirt, water and gloss; interior, plastics, seats and leather parts also dressed. Professional anti-rust underbody treatment. The car is always kept in a covered garage and used exclusively by an enthusiast.
CAR HISTORY AND TRACEABILITY
Built as a DEMO car at the BMW plant in Dingolfing on 10 April 2003, it was sold on 21 March 2005 with 18, 000 km to its first owner, who had it serviced regularly at an official dealer until 2014. It was then transferred to a new owner at around 120, 000 km, and was subsequently imported and bought by an Italian collector at 149, 000 km. In my ownership for 4 years (bought at 164, 000 km).

The absolute highlight of this car is its original BMW Individual Carbon Schwarz Metallic paint, one of the most fascinating, rare and sought-after colours produced by the Munich manufacturer. At first glance in the evening or in shade it appears a deep, elegant and restrained black, but as soon as it is touched by sunlight it reveals astonishing shifting, three-dimensional midnight-blue and ink-blue reflections. A paint with a unique character that perfectly highlights the muscular, elegant lines of the E46, making this car a practically unobtainable piece on the market. The photos try to replicate, in different positions, some of the endless shades of this colour. Also worth noting are the original BMW birch burr wood trims of the period, preserved as new, which give the interior more light and contrast as well as elegance and refinement.
