Description
I’m pretty distressed that I have to sell my 1976 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. I love this car, and I had the highest hopes that I would restore the car to my ideal. Sadly I’m selling as my health is such that I just can’t continue with the project. On first sight it may appear daunting, however a lot of good work has been done. When bought it had the usual rust in the wheel arches, as well as the drivers floor pan and boot floor. This has all been cut out, treated and repair panels supplied by Flying Spares welded in. The bodywork is now robust and ready for paint preparation. The fuel pump has been refurbished and both sides work fine. The rear brakes have been and are continuing to be refurbished with new caliper pistons and seals. The seats are in good condition, needing further work, but only colouring that I will provide the colour for. Headlining is good only needing cleaning. The wood work needs refurbishment. Rear foot rests present, carpets I intended to replace. All chrome work/ stainless steel is present, though the rear offside quarter bumper needs repair/ replacement. The car left Crewe in Willow Gold. At some point it was two toned with the lower half being brown. The last image shows the scheme I wanted to finish the car in, it is not my car, but how I imagined mine to be. So, yes, it is a project, but the most difficult aspect of the required work has been done, and for anyone handy with spanner’s it will be a pretty cool project. Happy to answer any questions. I’m not on messenger all the time, but I’ll check it regularly if there is interest. Trailer collection from Chester UK.
This is a relatively straightforward completion of a restoration with all of the extensive bodywork welding completed.
