This model is powered by a 3. 6-litre flat-six twin-turbo engine, inspired by the Porsche 911 GT1 that won Le Mans in 1998. With 420 bhp and 563 Nm of torque, the 996 Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ h in 4. 2 seconds, with all-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual or 5-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The 996 Turbo features a wider chassis, bi-xenon headlights and a fixed rear spoiler. In 2002, Porsche introduced the X50 option, offering larger turbos and intercoolers, increasing power to 450bhp. The 2005 Turbo S model included this X50 option as standard, as well as ceramic brakes. The 996 Turbo also introduced several innovations, such as an electronically adjustable rear spoiler and a stability management system. A convertible version was added in 2004, becoming the first 911 Turbo convertible since 1989. This model helped to modernise the 911 by introducing major technical changes while preserving the range's iconic performance. --- Europe's leading car concierge, Carsup helps its customers to buy, care for and sell their vehicles, from classic cars to modern supercars.
