SUZUKI T 350 "Rebel", In the modern history of motorcycling, SUZUKI was undoubtedly the Japanese brand that restored the nobility to the two-stroke engine.
- This T350, for example, dates from the mid-period of the T series production (1969–1971). This lineage of twin 2-strokes traces its roots to the T10, which in 1966 was the first six-speed motorcycle marketed in the world.
- These major technological breakthroughs, combined with a very fine finish, led to immediate success and set a benchmark for the competition. The Suzuki T 350 R is perhaps the bike we miss today.
- Easy, agile, cheeky, it highlights what we lost with the disappearance of the two-stroke. One thing is certain: there is no motorcycle like the Suzuki T 350 R in modern production. This model enables a person of 1. 67m to place both feet flat on the ground and weighs the same as today’s 125 road bike. It develops 40 hp, but gives the impression of offering ten more. Its revs are lively, the engine note reminds me of chainsaws; this Suzuki is almost a sports bike, super light and as nimble as a mountain bike.
