Description

Hello,
⚠️ Vehicle for sale for restoration ⚠️

I am putting up for sale this Seat Arosa 16v. It is a small series released by Seat in the 2000s, cousin of the Lupo GTI. It is equipped with a 1. 4L 16v engine producing 100bhp for a light weight of barely 930kg.
It is very pleasant to drive and runs quite well for a small car. It’s to be seen as a boosted yogurt pot.

Unfortunately, I no longer have time to look after it, which is why I am parting with it. The car is drivable but a thorough restoration would do it a world of good.

What has been done on it:
All ignition components new (spark plugs, spark plug leads, coil and fuse)
Complete Sachs clutch kit (equivalent to original) including: disc, pressure plate, release bearing, clutch cable and the gear linkage, all new
New boot struts
Headlights refurbished recently
All fuses and relays are new
The interior restored (deep cleaning of seats, door panels re-glued, driver's lock replaced, rear of the rear bench on the boot side repainted, headlining thoroughly cleaned and re-glued in places, and many other things)
Full service (oil change + filters)

The negatives:
Mechanically, a cambelt (last done about 6 years ago at 150, 300 km) as well as an auxiliary belt are due. The air box needs replacing and the throttle body cleaned (throttle body new but the car has been immobilised, so EPC warning light comes on). Finally, the biggest issue, the gearbox is I think dead. Gears are stiff, third and reverse grind. Wheel alignment is also needed (misalignment after the clutch change).
A major bodywork renovation is required. To do it properly, a full repaint would be ideal.
The suspension/ trains also deserve attention, even though I have done it, there is surface rust due to prolonged immobilisation.
The car was immobilised for 5 years before I got it, hence the work to be done on it.
The central locking fuse has been removed because the car key (I only have one key) no longer works. As a result, the car beeps when you try to start it and locks. A key needs to be recoded and the missing fuse reinstalled.

It’s a good restoration base for someone looking for a small, sporty and fun car or a base for a track project thanks to its light weight. All this without breaking the bank. In good condition these cars fetch top money owing to the youngtimer trend and the fact that they are very limited models. I remind you that the car is drivable and can thus be driven on the road, though I would still recommend a trailer due to the age of the cambelt.

Options:
Electric mirrors (functional)
2 electric windows (functional)
Heating/ cooling (no factory air conditioning)
Leather steering wheel
Radio pre-wiring
Front/ rear automatic wipers

I have tried to detail as much as possible but I’m sure I’ve forgotten things; best to come and see it. A video presentation is available. Price negotiable in person, but no ridiculous offers.
Feel free to contact me by phone for more information.
