Description
This Honda VF750 F was first registered in 1988, but was built in 1985, as indicated on the bike.
The motorcycle is in very beautiful original condition and runs perfectly; a unique piece in motorcycle history for fans of classic bikes.
This Honda model was available in three versions from 1982 to 1986 (VF 750 S, VF 750 C and VF 750 F). The VF 750 S was the first bike to adopt the new V4 technology. The transverse engine developed 60 kW (82 hp) at 9, 500 rpm in its base version. This series ushered in Honda's tradition of V4 engines. The cylinder angle of the V-engine was 90°. The mixture was produced by four Keihin constant‑pressure carburettors VD 62 A of 32 mm bore (VF 750 S/ C) and VD 61 B of 30 mm (VF 750 F). The compression ratio was 10. 5:1. The two left cylinders fired successively at 90° crankshaft angle; the two right cylinders fired 270° later, also at 90° crank angle. This produced a 360° ignition delay for each row of cylinders. This irregular firing order gave the bike exceptional power and an exhaust note characteristic of these V4 engines, vaguely reminiscent of a Ducati V2 engine.
