Description

A trip back in time to the Max Power and GTI Mag years, the Magny-Cours events, and the era when tuning could never be extreme enough. Here we have a 2002 Peugeot 106 GTI with only 114, 000 km on the clock. The car was modified almost immediately from new. The bodywork has been widened in steel — no cheap polyester that cracks everywhere, but custom-made steel wider arches. The kit installed is a Pakfeifer kit. Together with the Morette headlights, Quad conversion taillights, HyperGen III mirrors, and the Esquiss roof spoiler, the exterior is perfectly finished. Of course, the car was also completely resprayed in pearlescent metallic yellow. The interior was obviously not forgotten either. The dashboard is fully trimmed in black and yellow leather, with several Vivid gauges integrated into it. The same was done to the door panels, also fully leather-trimmed with “106” stitched in. An Isotta sports steering wheel, shift-light, gear knob, gear gaiter, EL Glow gauge faces, etc., brighten up the interior nicely. The Sparco Sienna seats originally came in black from the factory — which of course is boring — so they were immediately reupholstered in black and yellow as well. To keep you in place, Schroth 3-point harnesses are fitted. The car sits on a set of Brock wheels with Dunlop tyres. Now on to the engine bay. There you’ll find the (not exactly standard) 1. 6 16v engine. Just like the rest of the car, this engine has been heavily modified: - upgraded camshafts - reworked cylinder head - Chadil throttle bodies - DTA engine management - Pipercross Viper kit - Supersprint manifold and mid-pipe - Rage twin rear silencer All of this results in a healthy 178 hp / 200 Nm at 6927 rpm (see dyno sheet photo). And if that’s still not enough, there is also a NOS (nitrous oxide) kit installed. It’s about 90% connected, so no idea how much extra power it could add ;-) In total, around £30, 000 – £35, 000 has been spent on modifications, excluding the car itself. A list of all the work done is included with the car. We bought the car after a very long period of storage and got it running again. Now it’s up to the next owner to finish the final details and get it back on the road. Due to lack of time, we simply can’t continue — getting the car to this...
