1964 Bentley S3 Continental Fixed Head Coupe by MPW

  • Original factory colour combination
  • Well-travelled between USA, Australia & UK
  • One of only 77 RHD fully coachbuilt cars
  • Recent recommissioning by specialist Bensport
  • Desirable upgrades including Webasto sunroof
  • Superb condition with light character

The Appeal

It cost more than an Aston Martin or Ferrari, which meant the handsome S3 Continental by Mulliner Park Ward was only for the very lucky. It was the last fully coachbuilt Bentley and just 77 RHD cars left the factory over four short years.
This beautiful Caribbean Blue 1964 car is likely one of the most travelled. Originally UK registered, it moved to California soon after before arriving in Australia in 1982. It was repatriated here in 2015, with just two registered keepers since. Its history throughout this time is carefully documented.
It comes to market soon after a very extensive recommissioning process by marque specialist Bensport. Retaining its factory correct colour combination, it benefits from some useful mechanical improvements that increase drivability and reliability as well as more comfort-focussed additions like a Webasto sunroof.
Rare and in great order with a very light patina of character, this is a superb example of a truly great four-seater British GT.

The interior displays a very light patina of use that is arguably more appealing than a fresh, unused cabin on a car like this. Alongside the factory-fitted Sundym glass and air conditioning, this car now has a large Webasto sunroof, making it highly usable whatever the weather.
