The Appeal

The Lancia Fulvia Coupe may well be in the running for one of the finest Italian cars in history. A true engineering tour-de-force, as many contemporary reports put it, these V4-powered, greenhouse-windowed cars hail from a golden era of rallying, a time when the pen was put to paper to create designs that would stand the test of time. The Rallye 1.3 S is a key example of genuine greatness - a testament to a legendary motorsport career that included 8 near-consecutive wins in the Italian Rally Championship.

This example is a particularly special tribute. An exact racing replica of the vehicle driven by Italian rally icons Munari and Mannucci to victory in the 1972 Rally Monte Carlo, this car has been lovingly rebuilt - by none other than five-time second overall title holder in the European Hill Climb Championship seasons, Mr. Petr Vojacek.

With its distinctive Marlboro branding, plenty of appliques and an impressive restored cabin, you'd be forgiven for believing this car is the exact one that took on the Carlo in 1972, plucked straight out of the past.
