1977 MG Midget 1500

Highlights

  • Straight and rust-free bodywork
  • Recent mechanical upgrades including a new clutch kit, flywheel, master cylinder, and slave cylinder
  • Retrofitted stereo with two external speakers and aerial

The Appeal

They don't really make cars like this anymore; the MG Midget was playful and unfussy on the road, with a simplicity that kept the driver carefree. It's little wonder, then, that they've become one of the UK's best-loved classic cars - at a time when the top-down summer sports drive seemed to be the national sport.

This particular example, with its green exterior and brown interior, is in very good condition, with a straight and rust-free body, and a few minor marks. The mechanical aspects of the car have been well-maintained, with recent upgrades including a new clutch kit, flywheel, master cylinder, and slave cylinder. The interior is also in great shape, with a refurbished Moto-lita steering wheel and a retrofitted stereo with two external speakers and an aerial.
