  • Very rare and highly preserved XR4x4
  • Same keeper from new
  • Low mileage car with good history
  • Factory standard and unmodified
  • Will be sold with fresh MOT

The Appeal

Yes, the Cosworth steals the headlines. Yet there is something very compelling about this XR4x4 and not only because it is highly original and vanishingly rare. That grunty Cologne V6 - borrowed from the Capri and Granada - and four wheel drivetrain fit right into the Ford tradition of big, simple motors with decent urge.
This Moonstone Blue XR4x4 is like a time traveller from 1987. The condition is quite remarkable, mainly due to being driven by the same owner since it was new. Inside and out it is factory standard, which means neat details like the front and rear spoilers, RS alloys and grey sports seats.
We don’t think you’re likely to find another quite like it. A good history file supports the low mileage and it will be sold with a fresh MOT. Whether you save it for shows and weekends - where it would fit right in - or enjoy its torquey V6 and grippy handling, this is a treat for 80s enthusiasts of great saloons.
