While the Lancia Fulvia Berlina (sedan) debuted at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show, the coupé wouldn’t be seen until the Turin Motor Show of 1965.
The coupé design was penned in-house with a 150mm-shorter wheelbase than the sedan, and with the Berlina’s 1. 1 litre narrow V4 under the bonnet bored out to 1216cc.
In 1967, a range of uprated 1. 3 litre-powered coupés was introduced; in base Rallye 1. 3 spec, Rallye 1. 3 S and Rallye 1. 3 HF, were available in varying states of sporting flavour. Tuned, lightweight 'HF' versions provided increased performance and formed the basis of the Squadra Corse works team's highly successful rally program that saw the Fulvia HF 1600 secure Lancia's first Manufacturers' World Championship in 1972.
The car presented is a wonderful mechanically, the engine has been fully rebuilt some time ago with new pistons, bearings, chains, valves etc. Electronic ignition has been fitted, along with a new exhaust and cooling system.
Brakes and suspension have also been given an overhaul; and all electrics and gauges within the unmarked interior are said to be fully functional.
It comes with over 20 years worth of receipts, and has been thoroughly maintained throughout its life.
