1993 Rover Mini Italian Job 1275 cc. This stunning mini has covered just 20200 miles in the last 24 years. It was bought by its previous owner in 2008 and they have had 9 years of enjoyment from it. When they bought the car it was waxoiled in all of the cavities and throughout the underside of the car which has kept it in excellent condition. Areas like the sills, floors, subframes and valances are original and immaculate. There have been some styling and performance upgrades which have been completed professionally by well respected mini specialist and as a result it performs very well. The engine has been upgraded to produce 75 BHP but it feels more on the road. It accelerates very strongly through the gears and equally stops well on its uprated brakes. The engine work was carried out by Slark Race Engineering and included a Slark SR3 fast road head, MED HD roller rockers, MG Metro rocker cover, braided oil transfer pipe, MED stub stack with ITG air filter, Mini Spares 4 core radiator, Metro Turbo clutch, braided clutch hose, Unipart/ Lucas coil, distributor, rotor arm, Lumenition Silicon HT Leads, Maniflow 1. exhaust, Maniflow Cooper free-flow manifold. While this work was being completed all items like hoses and service items were replaced. To improve the stability and handling it has Protech billet steel adjustable dampers plus genuine HiLos, KAD rear camber brackets, Mini Spares heavy duty adjustable tie bars with poly bushes. To aid the stopping power it has Mini Sport drilled and grooved discs with Black Stuff pads. The wheels which look fantastic are 13 x 7 Alleycats with sticky Yokohama A539 Tyres. The interior has been enhanced by a Custom Consoles dashboard with Alpine CD radio. It has addition gauges giving a vacuum and oil pressure. It has a hand-made stainless steering drop bracket, alloy door furniture, OMP Superquadro steering wheel with boss kit plus Smiffys Bits stainless striker plates. It has been maintained since this work was completed by Downton Engineering who have serviced the car and kept it great shape.
