The Appeal
This magnificent Cotswold Beige metallic Silver Spur has been in the hands of its single gentleman keeper since it was acquired from Rolls-Royce main agent Howells of Cardiff in June 1981. It returned to factory main dealers for all servicing up to 57,000 miles before being put into dry, long-term storage in 2000. The result is a highly preserved, very original RHD LWB Rolls-Royce with under 59,000 miles from new.
To complement the smart paintwork there is a dark brown Everflex roof and matching chocolate leather cabin. The signs of age are minor, the whole car retaining the stately spendour that set apart these longer and rarer SZ models. Just 939 were built in RHD.
The car has recently been recovered from storage upon the first keeper’s death. It has received an oil change, levels check, fuel pump replacement and the fuel tank has been drained. It is said to start and run well with smooth gearchanges. It has only been driven a short distance since release from storage so buyers should be realistic about doing some light work to put it back on the road.
