The Appeal
The Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG occupies an important place in AMG history. Introduced in 1997, it was the first AMG model to be fully integrated into Mercedes-Benz’s production process rather than being assembled by Mercedes and subsequently modified by AMG. Power came from a hand-finished 4.3-litre V8, transforming the compact C-Class into a discreet yet highly capable performance car.
Estate versions accounted for only a small proportion of overall C43 production, making them a notably rarer sight than their saloon counterparts. Adding further exclusivity, this example is understood to be the only UK-market car finished in striking Titanite Red.
Accompanied by a substantial history file, the car has benefited from significant recent expenditure, including replacement of the crank position sensor and an overhaul of the automatic gearbox.
