Fully restored with just 8, 000 miles since, this MkIII has enjoyed quality workmanship from the best of Australian Healey specialists. The engine, gearbox and overdrive, rear axle wre all built by Brian Dixon. The engine is of fast road specification with balanced internals plus a harmonic crankshaft dampener, high torque starter motor, alternator conversion and a DMD fast flow inlet manifold.
The suspension has similarly been upgraded with a full telescopic suspension conversion with Bilstein dampers. A long-range fuel tank sits in the boot to make this an easy going tourer.
Inside a Tan fully custom interior complements the Green exterior handsomely. Seats are leather faced – an upgrade over the factory vinyl – the carpet is fully custom and edge bound, finished in fetching Dark Green. The car has a centre console armrest with additional storage inside. Wet weather equipment is suitably matched in Green mohair with both the hood and hood bag hand crafted in this material. The car is fitted with a alarm for additional security and has a modern stereo, with removable rear speakers cleverly trimmed to match the upholstery – these can be easily disconnected should you wish for a standard interior.
The car has enjoyed the last 20 years In the fantastic Australian climate and is in impeccable condition throughout. The car entered the UK and Europe for the 2023 European Healey Meeting plus an extended driving tour. The car is now UK registered.
