THIS is a 1963 Sunbeam Rapier Series IV 1600cc with overdrive. An all-time classic sports coupe with its pillarless sides and superb rear fins. The Rapier was a favourite with 1960s rally drivers and a huge hit for the worldwide Rootes Group. Immensly popular to this day, they remain highly sought after.
This 63-year-old beauty is a solid and pretty old thing with only some minor imperfections here and there, the worst being paint "blebbing" to some of the offside rear wheel arch. This is no worse than most 1950s and 60s cars looked when they were three or four years old. Many of them never made it to a fifth birthday! So, yes she is 63-years-old and drives really well.
Black interior is excellent and of course Rapiers sport that delightful dash. Difficult to beat at my price.
