The most desirable of the bay window campervans presented in the most breath taking of conditions. A Genuine “small low light” vehicle with disc brakes originally from the rust free state of California before being restored and professionally converted to right hand drive in the UK. In 2014.
This vehicle was sourced by a very close contact of Classicwise who specialises in the importation and restoration of great Bay window Volkswagen’s. Upon arrival in the UK it was stripped back to a bare shell which was then bare metalled before being professionally re-sprayed. The engine and gearbox were dismantled and any components that required replacing were done so. The engine was fully de-coked too. As it was originally LHD it was then decided for it to be converted to RHD – this has been done faultlessly, at the same time an electric adjustable power steering unit to make it more usable. This paired with it being an original disc brake vehicle makes the vehicle a joy to drive.
The stance (ride height) of the vehicle has also been lowered to improve the overall aesthetics without affecting the performance or comfort. 240V electric hook up has been installed with household power points installed, fridge and portable gas cooker. This is currently a 2 berth camper however it does have the capacity to be easily upgraded to 3 berth + child. A lovely honest rust free example presented beautifully and ready to be enjoyed.
