NOW RESERVED FOR NEW OWNER - ALL OTHER DEFENDER AND SERIES MODELS WANTED URGENTLY, FOR OUTRIGHT PURCHASE OR CONSIGNMENT SALE
Purists and originality buffs should look away now, but Motodrome are pleased to offer this 1980 Series 3 Land Rover 88in Lightweight (Air Portable) softtop, resplendent in Bronze Green, and with a brand new Exmoor Trim hood.
This one is in seven-seater spec, with 3 seats across the front, and twin rear bench seats. . .
The original 2. 25 petrol motor has been removed, and replaced with 200TDi power. Also fitted with a pair of Range Rover diffs to give much more long-legged gearing, and parabolic springs, so it goes superbly
Also fitted with a matching set of 4 Kumho road-biased tyres, galvanised military front bumper & NATO rear bumperettes, freewheel front hubs, NATO towhook.
It’s only had 2 owners in the past 21 years (the last owner had it since 2002) and, whilst it currently comes with MOT to January 2018, we're quite happy to provide a fresh 12M MOT on sale if required. The V5 has been amended to show the engine change.
It’s full of character and on test it performed very well indeed.
