THIS is simply amazing. First owner from 1936 until 2008 (72 years), but mainly dry stored for all that time. This magnificent Morris 14 has a speedo reading of just 10, 000 from new and is believed to be correct. There is a letter in the history file backing up this belief. Certainly, going by condition, there has to be every chance of being correct!
This BMC flagship model of the 14 was a straight-six sidevalve 1800cc creation. It runs like the proverbial sewing machine and is a piece of antique, art-deco motoring. Body-wise just fantastic. Underneath amazing and seemingly never touched. And, as for her interior, well this is just delightful. Totally original down to the M for Morris badges on the pedals, the original blue leather and the wooden dash which could pass for being one year old. The "art-deco" speedo houses other dials within it and resembles a pre-war radiogram! Just gorgeous. Head lining perfect, a working sunroof and the list goes on. Experts reckon that there are no more than something like 12 Morris 14s left in the world. This is a big car for the era, bordering on limousine size I would say.
So, research them, read about them and form your own opinion. It's a low-slung rakish body and also the same shell as the Wolseley 14 of the same era. Could it be the best survivor? Could it be the least used example with just 10k on the clock? It really it just wonderful.
Please don't make the mistake of thinking it is any less than that. Find another like this. You won't!
