THIS CAR
- This is one for the drivers out there – a fast road spec 911 T that just oozes summer fun.
- Originally a US delivered car that was extensively restored throughout the 2000s/ 2010s before being imported to the UK in 2019.
- Although not its factory specification, it’s difficult to find fault in the car’s current configuration:
- Fully repainted in Gulf Orange with early ‘Porsche’ black decals
- Black and grey interior with gorgeous Houndstooth sports seats
- 4x Maxilite Fuchs style replica alloy wheels
- A non-matching but period correct 2. 2L engine (#6116567) that was fully rebuilt less than 5, 000km ago
- Twin Weber carburettors with K&N style air filters
- SSI Heat Exchangers
- Lightweight Aluminium Flywheel
- Fully rebuilt 5-Speed Gearbox by Mike Bainbridge
- Quaife LSD
- Uprated Suspension components with Turbo Tie-Rods, 19mm & 23mm Torsion Bars, 15mm Front Anti-Roll Bar, Adjustable Drop Links
- The history file that comes with this car is extensive, and there are a huge number of invoices and receipts for all the work that’s been carried out over the last 20 years.
- And what’s more, the car comes with its original Porsche toolkit, jack stand, owner’s manual and service book.
WHAT WE THINK
- Is this a perfect, matching numbers, factory original car? No. But that’s entirely missing the point.
- This is a car that’s been designed, built and upgraded with one thing in mind – to put a smile on your face. And it’s done that to perfection.
- Gulf orange is a rare colour, and you really need to see it up close and in person to properly appreciate how well it suits the car. And the Houndstooth interior? Well you already know how cool that is…
- And then there’s the driving experience itself. This car will give a 911E, and probably also a 911S, a serious run for its money. And neither of those cars come with that glorious intake noise that only properly tuned Webers can produce.
