Lot 5
A 1962 Morris Minor 1000 post production convertible, registration number SSJ 255, maroon. This charming Morris Minor started life as a two door saloon. It was subsequently restored and converted by marque specialist Charles Ware in 2014. Being a 62 model it retains the older models clap hands wipers, spoke steering wheel, duo tone upholstery and pull starter motor. During the restoration/ conversion the opportunity was taken to incorporate some upgrades including Halogen H4 headlights, electronic ignition, hydraulic clutch, unleaded cylinder head conversion, seat belts front and rear and a modern CD/ radio with discrete speakers. In the current ownership the Morris has been well maintained with receipts for works carried out by Charles Ware amongst others including servicing, the fitting of Minilite style aluminium wheels and a tow bar with electrics. The Morris comes to auction with an accompanying history file and its most recent MOT which it passed with two minor advisories for tyre wear. V5C, MOT to April 2018, tax exempt
