The Appeal
The 'T' was the entry-level variant of the iconic Porsche 911 range from the late 1960s, offering the pure driving experience that made these early 911s legendary.
This 1968 example stands out for its rare electric sunroof option and comprehensive professional restoration. Having been exported to Canada in the 1980s before returning to France in 2024, this 911 T has been meticulously renovated with considerable attention to detail, evidenced by the 900+ hours of professional work and more than €30,000 invested in new parts.
As the photographs attest, the car presents beautifully throughout, and the vendor assures us it's as good to drive as it is to look at. For those in search of a well-restored air-cooled 911 that's ready to go, today's the day that dream comes true.

Early 911s such as this represent Porsche's iconic silhouette in its purest form. They are fabulous-looking cars, and this example in white is particularly fine to behold, thanks to the quality of its recent restoration. Fuchs alloys are the quintessential choice for this model, while the understated black upholstery suits these conservative, unassuming sports cars.
Engine removed during renovation and completely overhauled
Rocker arms adjusted
Engine and gearbox oil changed with filter
New 123 Ignition Bluetooth electronic ignition system
New high-performance coil
Carburettor completely rebuilt
New brake pads
New shock absorbers
Complete stainless steel exhaust system
New fuel tank and oil pan
Mechanically, this 911 remains more or less period-correct, but not exactly as it came from the factory. The engine was previously replaced with a like-for-like unit, while the gearbox has been changed from the rare yet undesirable Sportomatic semi-auto system to a conventional, driver-focused four-speed manual. A 123 Ignition Bluetooth electronic ignition system has been added for smoother, more reliable running, and a stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted. The vendor reports that the Porsche starts and accelerates normally, brakes well, shifts well and has great road holding. An all-round brilliant car to drive.WhatsApp Image 2025-09-16 à 13.17.47_35ba4d17 Angelo Bindi Vinciguerra.jpg173.79 KB
