The Appeal 

Here is a treat for enthusiasts of the later E-Type, an exceptionally low mileage OTS with original factory specification. Finished in popular Blue Azure with Biscuit leather, it is a very good example of these super smooth V12 convertibles with the added advantage of a manual gearbox. 
The car’s originality is a key part of its draw, the light patina indicating its sparing life - just 37,000 miles from new - and contributing to the character. This history file verifies the diminutive use and shows regular attention by specialists such as Martin Robey using quality parts from sources such as SNG and SC Parts. 
It has been usefully MOT’d to underline the condition despite this not being a legal requirement. The current test runs to March 2025 with no advisories. 
E-Types like this come along exceptionally rarely. One not to miss. 

The History and Paperwork

  • First registered 12th October 1973

  • Biscuit leather interior appears to be original and unrestored showing light wear
  • Cabin is lightly patinated which adds character to this 51 year old car
  • Unmodified with period radio, good switchgear and clear dials 
  • Fitted with a Moto Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel 
  • Carpets in good order with protective E-Type rubber mats fitted
  • No structural advisories on current MOT 
A key part of this car’s appeal is its originality. The very sparing mileage has kept the Blue Aure and Biscuit leather combination in very good order. Freshly restored cars may be bright and shiny but this car’s original condition strongly contributes to its character. 
The car remains factory correct but has been lightly titivated over the years. This is documented above and includes a new roof and refurbished frame and quality MWS wheels. Each element remains in very good order, indicating the care of its keepers.

Dropping the sinuous V12 beneath the E-Type’s vast bonnet was a masterstroke. Here was a smooth powerplant to match the Series III’s similarly effortless style. These engines are reputably so well set up that you can balance a £1 coin in the cam cover fins without it toppling. 
This matching numbers car must be one of the lowest mileage examples in existence. It is verified by the history file which includes handwritten notes and a raft of MOTs from the digital and handwritten eras. The car has been regularly maintained and serviced by specialists using parts supplied by SNG Barratt and SC Parts. 
The car arrives with the buyer with no reported running or driving issues. The current MOT shows no mechanical or running gear advisories.
