The Appeal
Helped by Bodie and Doyle, the 3 litre Essex motor set the tone for a lairy, tailsliding Capri. But it was the lighter, more powerful 2.8 that perfected it.
This tidy early 2.8 benefits from the 5spd box and a decent history file showing regular maintenance. It is the sort of Capri to be used and driven, rather than polished and shown. Yet with demand for these cars continuously growing, there is scope for improving it as you rack up the miles and smiles.
Fitted with Revolution five spokes, a nostalgic front spoiler, and a retrimmed two-tone Recaro interior, this classic black Capri comes to market with MOT to August. It is eligible to be re-registered as a Historic Vehicle, something the buyer may wish to undertake to make it tax and MOT exempt.

- Yokohama tires fitted that appear in good condition but likely older fit
- Non-matching Ford RS four spoke alloy spare wheel in fair condition
- Underside presents in fair condition with some advisories to note on MOT
- Chrome remote operating door mirrors show some light tarnish
- Black and red retrimmed fabric interior with Recaro front seats
- Door cards in matching two-tone red and black showing some deterioration
- Cabin in fair condition with some wear visible to switchgear and trim
