If the original 930 is iconic, its replacement, the 964 Turbo, is undeniably an accomplished evolution. Fourteen years of production of the 930 have enabled Porsche to perfect its flaws to create a worthy heir, as exciting as ever but much more accomplished.
Car & Classic is delighted to offer this rare example of the 911 Turbo 3.3, one of only 3,660 produced. This number-matched 1992 version, with its superb Indian Red paintwork, has been in the hands of the same owner since 2010 and has always benefited from meticulous maintenance.
The car was fully repainted in its original colour in 2022, with the bonnet taken in 2025 to correct a few chips. The seller has undertaken to renew the roadworthiness test before handing over to the new owner - so this rare 964 Turbo is ready to hit the road with its future buyer.image.png4.7 MB

Recent maintenance :
2012: clutch replacement at 111,777 km (at Audi), major service including engine sealing, fuel and oil line replacement
2022: oil change at 144,731 km and replacement of front and rear brake pads
2023: oil tank hose and rocker panel seals replaced
2025: replacement of brake master cylinder, rear shock absorbers, front right wheel bearing and front brake discs.
As this recent service history shows, this 911 has benefited from constant care in recent years. Unlike its legendary predecessor the 930, nicknamed the 'widow maker', the 964 remains just as exhilarating with its 320bhp, but is much more controllable thanks to improvements such as the dual mass flywheel and a larger capacity turbo.image.png4.13 MB
