The Appeal
The Sport was Range Rover’s response to the BMW X5, compressing what was good about its established big brother into a more compact, agile frame. It was a huge success and remains popular with buyers who want the Range Rover experience without the classic and sometimes unwieldy dimensions.
This 2009 Sport is a high specification HSE fitted with the most powerful diesel engine, the 272bhp 3.6L twin turbo TDV8. Finished in dark blue with beige leather cabin, it has had just two keepers in its life, the current one since 2012.
It has been well maintained, particularly so since 2022. Over £14,000 has been invested since then in the mechanicals. That work is detailed in the photos and includes new turbo, manifold, brake discs, pads and callipers and attention to the brakes and suspension. Naturally, it has also been regularly serviced.
The MOT has recently expired, so it will need to be renewed before it hits the road. Once done, you get a very luxurious workhorse.
