Famously decked out in what Honda dubbed 'European' styling, the CB250N was a bike that enjoyed extraordinary success in the United Kingdom due to a technicality. Back in those days licensing laws allowed a learner rider to take on any bike with a capacity under 250cc. Cue Honda's new little Super Dream, with its 249cc engine and excellent budget-friendly performance, and it was practically guaranteed to rule the roost.
It's a handsome mount, and it's a pretty big bike for its capacity. It's little wonder that budding bikers picked it up. While it was hardly the fastest bike on the planet, it was definitely one of the most impressive for its buck. Even today, it commands plenty of admiration, and thanks to its impressive support network and strong sales, it's one of the more practical classic bikes out there, too.
This particular 1981 example stands out for its remarkable originality and time-capsule condition, having spent nearly three decades in dry storage from 1991 until the current owner acquired it five years ago. Since then, it has been sympathetically recommissioned rather than restored, preserving its authentic character while ensuring it's ready to ride and enjoy.image.png623.27 KB
