The Appeal
Step into the golden era of Honda’s engineering with this fourth-generation 1991 Accord 2.2i, a model that boasted luxury, rock-solid reliability, and strong driving dynamics under its subtle styling. This Bordeaux Red example has covered only a little over 65,000 miles in its long life and comes well specified inside with black leather trim and all the period-correct electronic comforts. Under the bonnet sits the legendary 2.2-litre F22A3 engine with an automatic transmission and Honda’s 4-wheel-steering system (4WS), a truly innovative feature for the era.
Enthusiast-owned for the last 13 years, this Accord comes with a partial main dealer service history record, and the current owner has performed a variety of maintenance on the vehicle. It presents exceedingly well for its age and mileage, making it a solid base as a usable modern classic or even a daily driver, full of retro charm.
Now a real rarity, especially on UK roads, this warranted low-mileage example would certainly stand out among the sea of modern monotony. Whether you're a Honda enthusiast or just nostalgic for the executive cars of the '90s, this Accord would make a classy addition to any collection.
The vendor says
“Had this car since 2012. Big fan of this generation of Accord, from the best era of Honda. This is my 3rd, and I currently still have a CB3 with an H swap. This is a get in and go turn-key classic that is super rare now, that’s fully working with very low miles.”image.png4.24 MB

The vendor is knowledgeable on these cars and offers the following "to-do list" for the next owner:
"ABS is intermittent, would start with wheel speed sensors. The pump works; you can hear it. It passes MOT with the fuse kept in, but the light comes on after 14mph. I drive it with the fuse out as the pump is a little loud.
"AC holds pressure still, but currently needs topping up. Please note it's R12 gas.
"Central locking doesn’t work with the key, so manual opening of doors is needed.
"At some point, it will be time for a timing belt, not for the mileage, but just from time. It is healthy all over the belt, so I wouldn’t worry for now."
